Terms of Use
Last updated: 7 November 2026. These terms govern the use of the Scenino app. Buying Scenino Pro is also covered by the Terms of Sale.

2. The app
Scenino helps you choose, from your own collection, the perfume that suits the day. The basic features are free. There is more with Scenino Pro, a subscription. The app is meant for people aged 16 and over. Younger people use it with their parents' permission.
3. Right to use
You get a simple, non-transferable and revocable right to use the app for private purposes on devices you own or control. The app and its content remain my property or that of the respective rights holders.
4. What you may not do
- Copy, sell, rent or modify the app, unless the law allows it.
- Extract or rebuild the source code, unless the law allows it.
- Get around the limits of the free version or the check for Scenino Pro, for example with altered files.
- Read the app out automatically, or use it in a way that harms others or the services behind it.
5. Your data
Your collection, wear history and settings are on your device. There is no account and no cloud. If you delete the app or change devices, the data is gone unless you saved it as a file in the settings. Backing up is your responsibility. More in the privacy policy.
6. Content and brands
Fragrance names, brands and product pictures belong to their respective owners. Scenino has no connection to these brands and is neither supported nor endorsed by them. Information about notes, seasons, similarity and longevity is guidance, not a promise. The weather comes from Open-Meteo.com (CC BY 4.0).
7. Suggestions and health
The app's suggestions are based on weather, season, occasion and what you tell it. They are not advice. Perfume can irritate skin and airways and trigger allergies. Follow the maker's warnings and ask a doctor if you have complaints.
8. Availability and changes
I do my best to keep the app running but cannot promise uninterrupted availability. I may develop the app further, change features and discontinue the app where that is reasonable for you. For paid periods, the Terms of Sale apply.
9. Liability
The liability rules in the Terms of Sale (section 8) apply, also to free use. For free use, I am liable for slight negligence only for damage from breach of essential duties, limited to the foreseeable, typical damage.
10. Additional terms for iPhone (Apple)
If you use Scenino from Apple's App Store, the following also applies:
- Agreement: You conclude these terms with me, not with Apple. I alone am responsible for the app and its content.
- Scope of the right: The right to use covers Apple-branded devices that you own or control, within the usage rules of the App Store terms. The app may also be used under Family Sharing and volume purchase, as far as those rules allow.
- Maintenance and support: I alone am responsible for maintenance and support. Apple has no obligation for it. Support is available at [email protected].
- Warranty: If the app does not conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app. Beyond that, Apple has no warranty obligation. Any other claims, losses, damages and costs from failure to conform to a warranty are my responsibility.
- Claims by third parties: I am responsible for claims by you or third parties relating to the app, for example product liability, legal requirements or consumer protection. If it is claimed that the app infringes a third party's intellectual property rights, I, not Apple, am responsible for investigation, defence and settlement.
- Legal: You confirm that you do not live in a country the United States has embargoed or designated as a supporter of terrorism, and that you are not on any United States list of prohibited or restricted parties. When using the app you comply with third-party terms, for example those of your mobile or internet provider.
- Third-party beneficiary: Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and, once you accept them, may enforce them against you.
11. Final provisions
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. For consumers, this choice of law applies only as far as it does not take away the protection of mandatory rules of the country where you live. I may change these terms where that is reasonable for you; the new version is on this page. If a provision is invalid, the others stay valid.
