Perfume dupe finder
A dupe is a fragrance that smells close to a well-known, expensive one and usually costs a fraction of it. Some are very good and some are not. Scenino helps you tell which is which.
How Scenino finds them
It looks at two things: known pairs of an original and its dupe, and how similar the notes of two fragrances are. Every match gets a similarity score, and a value rating that sets that similarity against the price.
It all runs on your phone with the database that is already inside the app. Nothing is looked up online.
How to judge a dupe
- Similar is not identical. Expect the same idea, not the same bottle.
- Compare the notes. If top, heart and base notes line up, the odds are good.
- Opening, longevity and projection are where cheaper versions most often differ.
- Try before you buy. A sample or a spray in a shop costs little and saves a bad purchase.
Do not buy on the score alone. It tells you where to look first, not what you will like.
Fill the gaps in your collection
The Discover tab starts from what you own. It shows what your shelf is still missing, with well-known fragrances that fill exactly that gap, and the dupes that go with them.
Keep a wish list
Save what looks interesting to your wish list and come back when you are ready to try it. Everything else lives in your collection.
